Pauline Rooney Pauline first graduated with a BA Hons from Queen’s University Belfast and followed this with an MSc (Ed) in Computer Based Learning (QUB). She worked for several years as an instructional designer in the private e-learning sector, collaborating extensively with the Royal College of Surgeons and Harvard University. She joined the DIT in May 2002 where she continued in the field of e-learning as a web designer with the Learning Technology Team. She is currently working towards a Doctorate of Education (EdD) with the University of Sheffield, where her main research interests are the impact of e-learning on students with disabilities, e-portfolios, the implications of e-learning for staff development and the use of e-learning in continuing professional development.
